* turn on printer and look/listen for an indication of USB connectivity (either a system tray popup or audio cue), and immediately click on update firmware once the connection is established * ensure printer is connected to PC via USB cable * open Tools->Update Firmware from the menu I installed the newest version of FlashPrint (3.13.0) on my PC and proceeded with the following: The key to the solution is tied to step 7 of the instructions listed in the earlier post (shared by Tang, edvard and Grimlock). * starting the printer without the SD card installed resulted in only a white screen being shown

* copying old firmware (dreamer.bin) file onto internal SD card did not resolve issue * PC host (running Win7) indicated connection and disconnection when printer is first turned on * booted to splashscreen but remained unresponsive Observations (after performing firmware update) Other feature: 4GB SD card, external SD card slot orients labels facing up Please note that this solution may not be applicable to printers with older main board as they may be incompatible with the firmware I installed. I performed multiple reboots without any success and even pulled the internal 4GB SD card to manually copy the older firmware (dreamer.bin file) onto it, also with no success. A "write successful message" was overlayed at the bottom of the splash screen when the printer restarted, but the printer was unresponsive. I manually updated the firmware (versions are listed below) using a USB cable and restarted the printer as I normally would. I upgraded to the latest version of FlashPrint (3.13.0) and was asked if I wanted to update the firmware. Guys, I'm posting this in hopes that it helps someone in the future, as I had a similar issue.
